Troco Piccolo Appliques by Vico Magistretti for Artemide
Troco Piccolo Appliques by Vico Magistretti for Artemide
The Troco lamp by the Italian master architect and designer Vico Magistretti is a wonderfully simple synthesis of basic elements and materials. Composed of a blown opaline glass tube cut in the shape of an organ pipe which is fixed to a black lacquered metal bracket by means of a bakelite lamp holder and fixing ring. The Troco has been designed to be used on a table or fixed to the wall, producing an exceptional quality of light thanks to the perfectly balanced inclination of the glass shade diffuser.

Engineer Gismondi and architect Mazza founded it in the 50s and at the beginning the architect was the only designer. In the late 50s and early 60s other designers were introduced, BBPR, Ponti, and then Magistretti who had the greatest commercial success with Eclisse. Still active and always at an international level, it maintains high levels of quality combined with modern design.
