Lester model table lamp designed by Vico Magistretti for Oluce from the 80s
Vico Magistretti probably designed the most iconic and famous model of the Oluce brand, Atollo, with which he won the Compasso d'Oro award in 1979. With Lester he tackles a stylistic reinterpretation of the technical office lamp, making it functional and refined.
Cap and base of truncated conical shape, first arm that allows a 360° rotation while the second allows to adjust the height, note that the angle of the upper cap changes to keep the light horizontal. Slight signs of aging. Dimensions maximum height about 80cm, maximum extension almost 100cm.

Already in the 50s with the participation in the IX Triennale, design became part of Oluce's DNA, first with Tito Agnoli, Forti and Monti, then in the 60s with Joe Colombo who created some of his most iconic lamps, such as the Acrilica, a thick perspex curve where the light seems to follow its shape. The 70s were instead under the pencil of Magistretti who was the artistic director and designed his masterpiece, the Atollo model.
