Set of 4 Café Chairs designed by Philippe Starck for Baleri, designed for the famous Cafè Costés in Paris
First editions of this famous chair with a black painted tubular steel frame and leather seat, now available only with a synthetic webbing seat. There are some marks on the paintwork and light stains on the leather. Stackable chairs, single size: height 78 cm, width 54 cm, depth 52 cm.
After his experience at Alias with the Forcolini brothers, he opened his own company, where he immediately began collaborating with several emerging designers, primarily Philippe Strak, as well as other well-known names such as Angelo Mangiarotti and Alessandro Mendini. The best-known products are the Café Chair, the President M table by Starck, the Julierte and Caprichair chairs, and the Bill sofa by Wettstein, and the T-Table by Mangiarotti.
