Set of 4 folding chairs Plia model designed by Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli. Chair with an iconic design, preserved in the permanent collection of the MOMA in New York, first use of a particular joint designed by Piretti, also present in the Plona and the Plato coffee table. Black color defects on the paintwork, and plastics yellowed by time, but still intact and usable. Complete with all felt pads. Dimensions when closed, width 47 cm, height 90 cm approximately, open, width 47 cm, height 75 cm, depth 50 cm.

It was born as a cabinet-making shop in the late 1800s, but the great industrial development took place in the post-war period. Closely linked to the concept of design, the most long-lasting and well-known collaboration is that with Giancarlo Piretti, creator of the Plia chair, the Platone table and the DSC106 seat for large spaces. The Plia was part of the MOMA exhibition "Italy: The New Domestic Landscape" organized by Emilio Ambasz.
